Can they take anymore?

Fedex just became the first company to cancel an order for the Airbus A380 jet. To make matters worse for Airbus, Fedex ordered 15 new 777 freighter aircraft from chief rival Boeing.

Via International Business Times:

“We made the decision to purchase the new Boeing freighters after Airbus notified us that there were going to be significant delays,” FedEx spokesman Maury Lane said in a statement.

“Global demand for air cargo and express continues to grow, and we needed the aircraft to fill our customers’ needs,” Lane added.

Boeing execs must be feeling pretty good about things right now, although their own track record hasn’t been exactly stellar recently either.
