When the MSC Napoli was grounded in southwest England, cargo managed to find its way ashore, with people scrambling to scoop up the goods:

Guardian Unlimited says there is “a sense of free for all” at Branscombe Beach, with authorities so far doing little to stop the scavenging. (Photo by Barry Batchelor of the AP.)

The BBC quotes Branscombe police officer Steve Speariett as saying “50 BMW motorbikes were carried off the beach” Sunday night and that the looting continues today.

Also washing up on the beach, according to the BBC: Boxes of “nappies” (diapers).
