Thieves make off with…underpants?

Although I would obviously never condone stealing cargo of any kind, I can understand the desire for cargo thieves to be interested in high tech equipment, consumer electronics, and even certain pharmaceuticals; however I would never guess anyone to be interested in heisting underwear.

Via BBC News UK:

Twenty pallets containing about 25,000 pairs of pants were taken from a Polish lorry driver on Cosford Lane in Rugby, Warwickshire last month.

Police said the offenders sprayed the driver with an “unknown substance” which knocked him unconscious.

The total value of the product was in the area of of 50,000 British pounds. I guess my only question is what do you do with 25,000 pairs of underwear?
