Earlier this month we had a brief post on the abrupt closure of Aloha Airlines cargo division in the wake of their bankruptcy. Aloha Air Cargo was responsible for carrying 85% of interisland cargo.

Well it’s good news for Aloha Air Cargo employees today as the Seattle company Saltchuk Resources finalized their purchase of the cargo division:

“Aloha Air Cargo is proud and excited to continue to serve the people of Hawaii — we are dedicated to our employees, to our customers and to the betterment of the state,” said Michael Coffman, chief operating officer of Aloha Air Cargo, in a statement. “The heart and soul of Aloha is alive and well at Aloha Air Cargo.”

The company said it will keep close to 400 former Aloha Airlines employees.
