YRC Logistics announces layoffs

YRC Logistics Inc, a subsidiary of YRC Worldwide, has announced layoffs of 50 people in their St. Louis and 150 in their Edwardsville, Ill. locations. John Carr, COO, said that another undisclosed service provider has offered jobs to all laid-off employees.

Via St. Louis Business Journal:

The jobs are for drivers and warehouse workers, Carr said. The workers will cease to be YRC Logistics employees in the middle of November, he said.

Carr said this is a standard outscourcing arrangement when a change occurs in outsourcing partners.
