Singapore, 14 October 2009 – Damco, a leading logistics and freight forwarding company, was conferred the Outstanding Partner in Supply Chain Excellence Award during the SCM Logistics Excellence Awards ceremony here on 6 October.
The award recognizes Damco for its ability and significant contribution in offering end-to-end supply chain solutions which help customers improve their business performance.

Casestack Announces Newest Board Member

Santa Monica, Calif., Oct. 16, 2009 – CaseStack, a leading outsourced logistics company specializing in supply chain solutions for consumer packaged goods companies, announced today that Tucker Taylor, a member of the original Federal Express management team, has joined the company’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Taylor has an impressive history of managing growth and developing successful management processes. He joined Federal Express in 1973 during its infancy in Little Rock, Ark., and held senior management positions in Customer Service, Ground Operations, Industrial Engineering and National Sales.

During his time at Medical Care America where he held senior management positions in strategic planning and process improvement, Mr. Taylor led a program that resulted in a successful application for the Malcom Baldrige Award. He invested in SuperShuttle in 1995 where he served on the board until the company’s sale to Veolia Transportation in October 2006. Mr. Taylor also served for 10 years on the Board of Directors at Cornell Companies.

In addition to serving on CaseStack’s Board of Directors, Mr. Taylor currently serves on the Board of Directors at the American Medical and Life Insurance Company, a New York-based specialty accident and health insurer. He is a 1967 Yale University graduate and former U.S. Navy carrier pilot.
